March Meet to Endure British Invasion! Rat Trap Racing Sponsors 2017 U.S. Tour of famed AA/Fuel Altered “Havoc”

Ron Hope, owner/driver of the historic and popular Rat Trap AA/Fuel Altered, has announced that Rat Trap Racing will sponsor the 2017 U.S. Tour of the British AA/Fuel Altered Havoc, owned by Nick Davies.

“We raced Havoc several times in England during our recent 50th Anniversary World Tour,” said Hope. “We got to know driver Davies, his partner Loaring, and their team very well during Dragstalgia and the Euro Finals at Santa Pod, England. What we learned was, they don’t really have anybody to race. We’re taking care of that by bringing them to the U.S. and inviting them to come race out of our shop in Franklin, Tennessee.”

To date, Havoc has been scheduled for three races, and more are anticipated: • March Meet, Auto Club Famoso Raceway, McFarland, CA • 15th Holley NHRA National Hot Rod Reunion, Bowling Green, KY • 26th California Hot Rod Reunion, Auto Club Famoso Raceway, McFarland, CA “This is a terrific opportunity to race against our heroes,” said Davies. We’ve attended the CHRR several times, but to be able to race at that historic track, as well as Beech Bend, is a drag racer’s’ dream come true. We’re extremely grateful to Ron, his son Brian, and all the sponsors for making this happen.” Vist their facebook page for the latest info

Update on "Resurrection Wall" and Re-build of track VIP Tower.

We have replaced just about everything lost in the fire this past off season. We are still waiting on a few things to arrive.

Thank you donors! As soon as all the building permits are approved, construction will begin on replacing the VIP tower and your name plate will be placed on the "Resurrection Wall."

Donations can still be made by going to FriendsofFamoso.com.

Again, Thank you to all those who have donated. We look forward to re-building and seeing your name plate on our "Resurrection Wall" for a long time to come.

On January 6, 2016 Auto Club Famoso Raceway suffered a devastating fire that destroyed the old tower and all of the operational equipment in it.

Fans and racers across the World have made clear their willingness to donate time and/or money to help with this situation and we would like to give those people an opportunity to help Famoso Raceway and also become part of the History at these hallowed grounds.

Your donation of $100 will go to Auto Club Famoso Raceway and be put right to use in getting our facility back up and running. In exchange for your generosity, we will place a 4x6 plate with your name, city, and/or state engraved on it. These plates will be mounted to "Resurrection Wall" on the back of the timing/VIP tower.

Every penny generated beyond the cost of producing and mounting these plates will go towards the repair or replacement of property at Auto Club Famoso Raceway.
